The amazing team at Pop Culture Classroom puts on a little event here in Denver every year called Denver Pop Culture Con. We've had a relationship with the amazing team at PCC who work tirelessly on the event every year. At our 7th birthday party we raised funds for Pop Culture Classroom with our gift giveaways. And we were thrilled when they asked us to create a series of promotional videos for this year's comic con event! We created eight videos showing the main highlights of the event that currently lives on their website. This footage was shot by the volunteers of PCC, Liquid Luck was the post-production team only on this project. We combined the videos we created into this video for easy viewing!
We also hosted two panels at the 2019 Denver Pop Culture Con about filmmaking! We were so excited that our panels were accepted and we had tons of audience members show up to hear us speak. Our first panel was "A Crash Course in Making Your First Film" (a shortened version of our weekend workshop for young students). Lauryn, Ian and Noah talked about making a film from scriptwriting and cinematography to editing and getting your film seen.
On Saturday, we hosted a second panel called "Stepping Into the Film Industry" featuring local filmmakers: Diego Rodriguez, David Grauberger, and our own Lauryn Kellett. The three talked about how they got into filmmaking, the pros and cons of film school and working for production companies. In both panels we had great questions and lots of engagement! We had so much fun that we've decided to host panels at comic con every year that we can!
